Marcia McWhorter; BSN, RN, CCMFT, Director of NBCC. Marcia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and is a RN in the state of Georgia. She holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and has been a counselor for over 18 years.  She has been the Director of counseling centers, taught,  and supervised Christian counselors for over 10 years. She and Wayne have been in ministry for 27 years: they pastored 6 yrs, traveled in missions 14 yrs; and were in Bible College Administration 10 years. She is a Certified Christian Marriage & Family Therapist and a member of the Georgia Christian Counselors Assn; American Assn. of Christian Counselors; and the International Association of Christian Care Professionals. She has a great compassion for those hurting, sparks new life and challenges you to grow!

Ashley has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and has recently finished her Master’s in Community Counseling from Mercer University.  She will be going for state licensure as a LAPC. She has worked in counseling families and marital situations.  She has worked with Codependency issues, anxiety groups as well as self-esteem issues.  She likes working with those struggling with anxiety and depression.  She loves to dig to the root of the problems and watch the client’s change as they get a better foundation in the Word of God.

Nikiya Spence, B Psy, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Supervisior
Nikiya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Georgia and has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Spellman College and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She has been in her own practice located in Lawrenceville for 3 years and in counseling for a total of 7 years. She is a member of the National Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapists and a Recipient of the Marriage & Family Therapy Scholarly Award. She has experience working with diverse populations providing court mandated classes for those in Gwinnett County. She has many qualifications but most of all she is a devoted Christian who desires excellence and ethics in counseling therapy.
