Meet Our Counseling Staff:

Marcia McWhorter; BSN, RN, MA, CCMFT, Director of NBCC.
Marcia has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and is a RN in the State of Georgia. She holds a Master’s in Pastoral
Counseling and is a Certified Marriage and Family Therapist.  She has been a counselor for over 30 years and
the Director of counseling centers, supervising counselors for many years. Whether you want counseling or just a
one time visit to draw from her years of godly wisdom, she can accommodate your needs. She incorporates your
gifts and seeks your destiny to come alive which restores purpose.  She has a great compassion for those
hurting, sparks new life, and challenges you to grow in your relationships!  

Yolanda Monteiro,  MA, NCC, LPC, Clinical Supervisor:  Yolanda earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical
Counseling/ Psychology from Cleveland State University.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the
state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor.  She has supervised counselors for many years now and
brings a professional expertise to our center.  She specializes in grief, depression and anxiety as well as marital
and family issues. She has focused herself on delivering the highest quality of care.  Her sensitivity and
compassion seeks to contribute to improving the lives of others and bring a place of restoration. Yolanda has a
heart to see the people healed and made whole again in spirit, mind and body.

Tara Taylor ,MAPC, LAPC
Tara has a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal Communication with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty
University. She has worked in marital and family situations as well as with individuals with self esteem issues,
depression, anxiety, bipolar, substance abuse and adult survivors of child abuse. She has worked in school
environments as well as teen and adult groups in multiple areas.  She desires to see you find a place of comfort,
healing, and restoration.

Chandra Dew, Pastoral Counselor MA,  AACC
Chandra has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology/Christian Counseling and a Master's in Professional
Counseling from Liberty University.  She is a biblically based counselor with over 14 yrs experience working
through her church to provide pastoral counseling services.  Chandra's passion is to help those who are
hurting so that they can live life to its full potential .

Cheryl Fultz, Doctor of Biblical Counseling, Director of Single Mom's Grant Program
Cheryl has received her Bachelor's in Theology and her Master's and Doctorate in Biblical / Christian
from North Carolina College of Theology. A passion of hers is to work with youth, single mothers, families,
marriages and the previously incarcerated. She is a native of Pennsylvania where she had worked for over 20
years as an inner city youth pastor, counseling youth and their families. She also counseled and worked as a
minister in her church; as a Therapeutic Staff Support providing mental health services to children who were
emotionally disturbed, dealing with coping issues, helping with anger / frustration management, managing
behaviors and worked in the prisons as a Spiritual Advisor to those needing direction. Upon relocating to
Georgia, she is now serving as the Director of the Single Moms Grant Program with New Beginnings
Counseling Center, The Children's Pastor at Father's House Community Church and works as a Technology
Teacher / Substitute part time at Parkview Christian School. She has a passion and desire to help those that
feel broken or hurting become whole again and believes that sometimes you just need a helping hand with
some guidance and prayer.

Missy Iler, AACC, Intern and Resource Worker
Missy has her Associates in Christian Ministry from Ohio Christian University. She is a Certified Christian
Counselorthrough the AACC and will finish her Bachelor's in Psychology with specialties in Christian
Counseling, Grief, Trauma and Loss from Liberty University this year. She has volunteered with New
Beginnings for over a year now helping as our Resource Worker and also serving in the Single Mom's Grant
Program. She is excited to see peopleempowered to reach the potential that God intended for them. If you

as well as non-Christian therapy in our center.  Phone counseling is available as well for those with transportation problems.
